Let me tell you about this wonderful project I had the honor to style.
Sky of Sky Stone Photography invited me to come up with something fun for her Spring Mini Sessions and of course I jumped right into this great opportunity!
The Mini Sessions were held in Brandon on May 5th. It was a very nice day considering this time of the year is already warm in Florida. The weather is always a party stylist’s concern when it is an outdoor venue. I am so glad everything went smoothly. It was a beautiful day indeed.
I decided to go for soft yellow and lavender palettes. Don’t you love this color combination? I incorporated a giant balloon filled with lavender fabric flowers and super cute bunting – courtesy of Jessica of Let’s get this party started. I also made great use of fresh flowers, pots, paper bunting and a little drink dispenser + recycled lemonade bottles with fun straws and flags for the kids to enjoy some refreshments.
I finally had an excuse to use my brand new table my dear husband gave me as a gift. How do you like it? It’s a great size, perfect for small celebrations. I love it!
The dessert table consisted of:
* Adorable butterfly cake pops – the kids couldn’t take their eyes off of them. Just gorgeous and delicious + Lisa, the owner of The Sweet Tooth Bar, is a doll. What a pleasure to work with her!
* Mini chocolate pudding parfaits with super cute spoon pops attached - these spoon pops are too cute to eat. They really are. When Maria, owner of The Gourmet Pop suggested this newest product, I got so excited. Look at the images – how beautiful are they? They were just perfect for my mini parfaits.
*Chocolate flowers in mini pots filled with vanilla cupcakes – Faith of Faith’s cookies and crafts made chocolate flower pops. I used them as cupcake toppers and placed them in mini white pots I purchased at Jo Ann’s. Such an inexpensive idea to dress up with desserts! The chocolate flowers matched our printables perfectly!
* Stunning decorated cookies - How amazing are they? Holly of Holly’s Sweet Hobby just blew me away. They are absolutely stunning. Her cookies are absolutely flawless- gorgeous flowers, adorable butterflies, damask designs. She also made beautiful edible flowers I decorated the cake and cupcakes with.
* A 3-layer yellow cake I ordered from one of our local bakeries. It’s amazing what you can do with a simple cake, right? I placed two of Holly’s gorgeous edible flowers and ta-da! A simple beautiful cake!
* Chocolate bars wrapped in coordinating wrappers, Vanilla cupcakes with our signature cupcake toppers, lavender truffles wrapped in coordinating fabric and tied with ribbon completed the look of our dessert table.
I also put together goodie bags with our large “thank you” tags attached for each one of Sky’s clients. They were filled with butterfly chocolate pops and other goodies - courtesy of sweet Faith of Faith’s cookies and crafts.
Beautiful day, happy kids = a successful event!
